I received my Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University in 2019. My studies focused on clinical work with children and families. As a Chinese adoptee, I've always held curiosity about how relationships with caregivers in childhood influence us as adults. I quickly learned that exploring these formative years can reveal fascinating insights into patterns of behavior, attachment styles, and emotional well-being. Whether you are drawn to uncovering the roots of your own struggles or seeking to better support children in your life, exploring early experiences can be a transformative journey of self-discovery.
I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in various clinical settings. I provided Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) to mothers and their children (0-6 years old) in home-based settings, focusing on trauma and attachment issues. I also worked with children and adolescents (4-18 years old) in an outpatient hospital clinic, where I was extensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). Most recently, I provided therapy in a private practice supporting adolescents and adults (13-64 years old) with anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
