You're always "on", constantly worrying about and preparing for worst case scenarios. You want to be more present in your life, but can't seem to quiet the anxious thoughts that pull you away.
EMDR helps with anxiety by using specific eye movements or other types of gentle, bilateral stimulation to help your brain process and reduce the distress linked to anxious thoughts or past experiences. Anxiety often comes from unresolved memories or feelings, and EMDR helps to reprocess these in a way that makes them less overwhelming. With time, you will feel calmer, more in control, and less affected by anxiety in your daily life.
IFS looks at the different "parts" of you that might be causing or contributing to anxious feelings. These parts can be seen as different emotions, like a worried or scared part. IFS helps you connect with and understand these parts. IFS helps to calm down the anxious parts and promotes a feeling of safety. By healing these parts, you can reduce anxiety and feel more in control and at peace.
Psychodynamic therapy explores how past experiences and unresolved emotions might be contributing to your current feelings of worry or fear. It looks at patterns from your past that could be affecting the way you respond to stress today. By understanding these deeper connections and bringing them to light, you can learn to manage your anxiety better.
